“There’s Probably No God. Now Stop Worrying And Enjoy Your Life” is the slogan of an atheist bus campaign launched in January around the UK. The campaign was financed by public donations to a fund administered by the British Humanist Association as well as a substantial payment made by Richard Dawkins, author of The God Delusion, in fulfillment of his pledge to match a portion of the contributions made by the public. Many Christians have heralded the coming of the apocalypse because of this first ever UK atheist advertising campaign. I don’t get what all the uproar is about. I say “Thanks atheists”. (more…)

The soul of an artist is revealed through his Art, and the soul of an individual is revealed through his response to Art. Dominique Francon of New York and Kayhlan Amnel of the fantastical world of the Midlands (Aydindril) are characters created by different authors, existing on different planets, but are fictional representatives of the same entity – Life. Ayn Rand, in her novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, explores the theory of objectivism – a theory she devoted her life to creating, developing and teaching. The influence of Rand’s revolutionary literature, particularly The Fountainhead, and the ethics of objectivist thinking are poignantly apparent in Terry Goodkind’s fantasy novel Faith of the Fallen – the sixth in the eleven-book ‘Sword of Truth series’. So Barack Obama is the Antichrist. I myself, am quite relieved, although surprised that it didn’t turn out to be Oprah. Let’s face it, the world is in a pretty bad state. The environment, the economy and human nature are all in a state of degeneration and regression. I am pretty much embarrassed to call myself a member of the human race. People are getting crazier by the second. From the Australian father of three involved in a custody battle, who threw his four-year-old daughter over the side of a bridge to the psychotic mob stampede that killed a Wal-mart employee on sale day. Nevermind wars, greedy bankers, poverty, oppression, rape murder and pillage. And global warming is going to get us sooner rather than later. With the planet and its occupants facing their imminent doom I say “Welcome Mr Antichrist Sir”. (more…)
