The Cullinan Diamond of Baking

Today is a good day. In fact, today is an AMAZING day! Why? Because I, this very morning, stumbled upon the Cullinan diamond of the baking industry: two of my passions, Tim Burton and Cake, have been consolidated into one delectable object of Burtonesque beauty. If there is one thing that will make me cross continents, it is a good cake. Hell, I’d immigrate for a good cake. And today I found LOTS and LOTS of magnificent cakes. All hail, Google! Hail to thee, thane of Search! – for making the discovery of such gems so easy. All hail, Google, thou shalt be king hereafter!

The Pink Cake Box was launched in 2005 and in less than two years, its success led to the opening of a store front in Denville, New Jersey and the business has continued to grow there since. Cake designer and Pink Cake Box founder Anne Heap is a pastry Chef who graduated from the French Culinary Institute in New York City. So her cakes not only look fabulous but taste fabulous. The Pink Cake Box specialises in Wedding Cakes, Celebration Cakes, Children’s Cakes, Cookies and Cupcakes – the likes of which have to be seen to be believed. Heap’s glorious confectionery delights capsize anything traditional about weddings and formal celebrations. She brings the funk out of any occasion, whether it is a sixteenth birthday, a new baby or a Halloween celebration. Attitude oozes from her sugar infested sculptures, which personify the fun and exuberance that are essential ingredients to successful living. When gazing upon these glorious works of art, a comment by illusionist Derren Brown becomes dangerously enticing:

“Have your cake and eat it… there’s no other reason to have a cake!”
